Submit proof of COVID-19 Vaccination OR request for medical or religious exemption.

Steps
Deadlines
1. Submit an application for admissions to Hartnell College through CCCApply
 
2. Submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or California Dream Act Application
a. Indicate Hartnell College (School Code: 001209) on your application. Up to 7 schools can be added.
 
3. Submit the Salinas Valley Promise - Program Application
a. A Hartnell student ID and account is required to sign-in and submit the form (see Step 1).
October 2022 - March 2023
 
Spring 2023 DUE: November 23, 2022
 
Fall 2023 DUE: March 2, 2023
4. Enroll and continue as a full-time student at Hartnell College during Fall and Spring semesters (12 or more units each semester/15 preferred)*
a. Waitlisted courses do not count towards the 12 units
b. It is highly recommended you participate in Panther Prep Pledge
 
Students enrolled in fewer than 12 units may be eligible for SVP when eligible for a reduced course load as a Department of Supportive Programs and Services (DSPS) accommodation
 
5. Sign-up for the Student Success Seminar (choose one or more)

a) Counseling course for Fall 2022: COU-1, COU-21, or COU-23
b) Summer Math Academy (August 2023)
c) Summer bridge hosted by approved support programs*

* Approved support programs: TRiOVocational Nursing (VN)Teacher Pathway Program (TPP) / MAESTROsComputer Science in 3 Years (CSin3), Math Academy

Spring 2023 DUE: November 23,2022

6. Students notified of admission into Salinas Valley Promise 
June 2023- July 2023
7. Attend the Student Success Seminar (one or more)

  • Be a first-time college student
  • Maintain enrollment as a full-time college student (at least 12 units)* during Fall and Spring semesters
  • Completion of a financial aid application
  • Participation in mentorship and quarterly workshops
  • Maintain at least a 2.0 semester GPA

Attend Quarterly Student Success Workshops, Professional Development Workshops & Mentorship Meetings
