Freshman Year Requirements (Fall & Spring)

  • Be a first-time college student
  • Maintain enrollment as a full-time college student (at least 12 units)* during Fall and Spring semesters
  • Completion of annual financial aid application or CADAA
  • Participation in mentorship and quarterly workshops
  • Maintain at least a 2.0 semester GPA

Enroll for Spring 2023 semester classes (at least 12 units/15 units preferred)*
  • Waitlisted courses do not count towards the 12 units

Students enrolled in fewer than 12 units may be eligible for SVP when eligible for a reduced course load as a Department of Supportive Programs and Services (DSPS) accommodation

Apply for 2023-2024 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or California Dream Act Application
  • Indicate Hartnell College (School Code: 001209) on your application
Priority Deadline: March 2, 2023 
*Submit an application ASAP if the priority deadline has passed
