Ensembles prep to perform ‘Extravaganza’ on March 8

The Department of Music at Hartnell College will present its 2019 “Music Extravaganza” on March 8, with more than 100 students performing classical, jazz and pop selections at the Center for Performing Arts, Building K on the Main Campus.

A guitar ensemble will open just after 6 p.m. in the lobby of the center. The orchestra and jazz band will perform in the Mainstage Theater, while the Hartnell College Choir, Chamber Singers and piano students will play in the Studio Theater (K-125).

The groups are under the direction of Steve Ettinger (instrumental), Sandra Rudo (choirs), Phil Collins (guitar) and Galina Vinokurov (piano). General admission tickets, which include food and drink, are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. (Pictured: 2018 Music Extravaganza).
