SVP applicants and scholars are protected from non-payment for Spring 2024 or Fall 2024 tuition until eligibility 
is confirmed.
 
The Salinas Valley Promise program only covers Fall and Spring semesters.

Requirements of the Promise

 

STEPS TO THE PROMISE

Submit an application for admissions to Hartnell College through CCCApply

 

Submit the Salinas Valley Promise Program Application.

A Hartnell student ID and account is required to sign-in and submit the form (see Step 1). 

Submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or California Dream Act Application

Spring 2024 applicants complete a 2023-2024 FAFSA or CADAA application

Fall 2024 applicants complete a 2024-2025 FAFSA or CADAA application - Submission Deadline is Monday, April 1, 2024. 

Please indicate Hartnell College (School Code: 001209) on your application. Up to 7 schools can be added.

Enroll and continue as a full-time student at Hartnell College during Fall and Spring semesters deadlines (12 or more units each semester).

a. Waitlisted courses do not count towards the 12 units
b. It is highly recommended you participate in  Panther Prep Pledge

Students enrolled in fewer than 12 units may be eligible for SVP when eligible for a reduced course load as a Department of Supportive Programs and Services (DSPS) accommodation

  Enroll for the Student Success Seminar 

*Dual Enrollment students are exempt from this requirement*

Choose one or more of the following options:
1) Counseling course for Fall/Spring: COU-1, COU-21, or COU-23
2) Summer or Winter Math Academy 
3) Summer bridge hosted by approved support programs*

* Approved support programs: TRiOVocational Nursing (VN)Teacher Pathway Program (TPP) / MAESTROsComputer Science in 3 Years (CSin3)Math Academy, CCAP Dual Enrollment

Students will be notified via email of admission into the Salinas Valley Promise program. Acceptance will require completion of a commitment contract.

Attend the Student Success Seminar you signed-up for (one or more of the following):
