More than 1,500 students and community members attended Transfer Day/College Night activities on Nov. 7 in the Student Center.

High school seniors were bused in from Everett Alvarez and King City high schools for Transfer Day, and many parents also attended College Night. As an example, more than 40 students and parents attend a FAFSA/ Dream Act presentation hosted by Monica Carrasco, Financial Aid Specialist.

The event planning team was led by Mercedes Del Real and Jessica Lopez. Counselors Norma Nichols, Norma Cuevas and Joel Torres assisted with College Night and were able to provide on-the-spot counseling to transfer students who had not yet completed their graduation petition, which was due the next day. The team evaluated 15 degrees and 10 certificates to be awarded in Spring 2019.

Student workers Irie Cunningham and Veronica Soto also supported both events, as did Administrative Assistant Isaura Arreguin, who coordinated food delivery for university representatives. Thanks to all involved for your support of student success!
