What is the Panther Prep Pledge Program?

The Panther Prep Pledge is a Priority Registration program for high school seniors who plan to enroll at Hartnell College after graduation.

Hartnell's College Pathways Team works with 20 local high schools to provide guidance and assistance to students with the required steps to enroll known as the "Steps to Success".

    • Ask your counselor when they will be presenting at your school.
    • There will be weekly raffles throughout the year for students who follow us on social media and complete steps towards enrollment.

The College Pathways Team is excited to soon officially welcome incoming students at Hartnell College! We are committed to helping students complete the process of enrollment to make the transition from high school to Hartnell as smooth and informative as possible (Download our senior checklist here).

All students who plan to enroll at Hartnell must complete the following Steps to Success:

If you aren't sure how to complete a step check out our instructional videos and step-by-step guides below and reach out to our team if you need additional assistance.

Working on the Steps-to-Success? Tune in on T/TH from 3-5pm for LIVE ASSISTANCE!

Once you complete those Steps to Success, you'll be eligible to make the Panther Pledge to receive guidance to select your courses for the first semester, assistance with how to complete registration and priority registration for the Fall 2022 semester.  This is a tremendous advantage for a new student because classes fill up quickly.

In addition to the required Steps to Success, you should also complete the following important steps that will support your college success (Download our senior checklist here).

  • Set up your official Hartnell College email account
  • Apply for Financial Aid by March 2, 2022
  • Apply for the Salinas Valley Promise (deadline TBA)
  • Sign up for support programs like EOPS and TRiO
