THE ALISAL CAMPUS
Hartnell’s Alisal Campus is a state-of-the-art campus rebuilt in 2006 at the request
and support of industry. The campus features smart classrooms, conference rooms,
clean/dirty classroom laboratories, computer laboratories, and numerous hands-on technical
shops dedicated to agriculture related trades all of which contribute to the overall
food safety culture in production, handling, storage, and transportation agribusinesses.
Adjacent to the campus are both the UCDavis Cooperative Extension and an USDA-ARS
Laboratory.
INDUSTRY ADVISORY COMMITTEES
Over 200 agribusiness employees and entrepreneurs generously volunteer their time
and expertise to help guide the Ag Institute and each of the core programs within
the Center for Advanced Technology. Their input is vital to Hartnell offering the
curriculum, internships, and skills necessary to employment in or running a business
in Monterey County.
MONTEREY COUNTY
Surrounding the Alisal Campus within a 60 minute radius is the core of the $4 billion
leafy greens and fresh fruit/vegetable produce industry which offers a plethora of
opportunities for guest speakers, adjunct faculty, classroom field trips, and internships.
