On Jan. 18, Hartnell hosted a Building Healthy Communities panel discussion titled “Towards a Racially Equitable Monterey County.” The discussion was intended to showcase each individual’s part in advancing the initiative in achieving that goal for everyone in the county. Attendees came from a variety of different sectors and industries, including community organizations, nonprofits and community leaders.
Panel members, facilitated by Rosa Gonzalez, discussed their work toward racial equity, barriers they’ve had to overcome and new challenges that have presented themselves along this process.
