Hartnell College proudly welcomes U.S. military veterans and their family members to complete courses in the Agricultural Business Technology Institute (ABTI) on our Alisal Campus with no tuition feesStudent in mechatronics lab

Participants will also receive paid on-the-job training with some of the the largest agricultural companies in the Salinas Valley -- and up to $2,300 in basic tools for their respective trade!

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Be a U.S. military veteran or dependent
  2. Able to enroll in 6 units of career-technical classes at Hartnell (free)
  3. Available to work 12 hours at least 2 days a week during program (paid job training)
  4. Remain in good academic standing (2.3 GPA)
