B.S. in Biological Sciences from CSU Chico
Personal Note Since 1989, I have worked as an agricultural researcher. Most of my career has been with the local industry in Salinas, California.
My education has focused on agricultural science. I earned a B.S. in Biology from CSU Chico, and Ph.D. in Genetics from UC Davis. My primary research has focused on plant breeding and genetics. I have also led research programs in post-harvest physiology, production systems, manufacturing systems (especially modified atmosphere packaging), nutrition, and control systems technology.
I joined Hartnell College as an adjunct faculty member in the spring of 2007. Later in the same year, I became a full-time Agriculture Instructor for the Hartnell Agricultural Business and Technology Institute.
