@One Training - webinars, workshops and online training about use of technology in community college education
Each year @ONE offers over 100 trainings, drawing more than 8,500 registrations. Workshops are taught by knowledgeable instructors who tailor their content to the specifics of the community college setting.
- Learn at Lunch Desktop Seminars: These one-hour seminars present emerging issues and best practices in using technology on your campus. You can actively participate in the session through CCC Confer meeting software and speak with the instructor over a phone bridge.
- Instructor-Led Online Courses : @ONE’s online courses last several weeks and give you an in-depth understanding of how to use specific technologies in an instructional context. Courses include posted materials, links to resources, assignments, and the opportunity to share experiences with CCC faculty and staff throughout the state via discussion boards. - Self-paced Training : Self-paced online courses feature many of the same content areas as @ONE's instructor-led sessions, but allow you to learn on your own schedule. Streaming videos demonstrate how technology is being used to enhance learning at California Community Colleges.
ACCJC Accreditation Basics - An online workshop that offers a comprehensive overview of higher education accreditation in the United States, including regional accreditation, and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges as well as an in-depth look at the ACCJC Accreditation Standards. Participation in the workshop will be required for new team members and is recommended for all those interested in learning more about accreditation and/or for team members who are interested in an update on the principles of accreditation or learning more about the Accreditation Standards.
The workshop will offer a flexible, self-paced learning opportunity. Participants can register and complete the workshop at any time that suits their schedule. The workshop, if taken in full, requires approximately two hours.
TurnItIn Training - The Turnitin Academy sessions offer our users a valuable opportunities for professional development. Led by a college professor and Turnitin power user, these workshops explore practical elements of using Turnitin in the instructional process, and present a variety of methods and activities for instructors to help students through responsible use of source material, faster and more meaningful delivery of feedback, and facilitation of peer review activities.
Etudes Online Training - All faculty who plan to use Etudes must complete the Etudes 101 online training class. It is a 2-week, self-paced, instructor-led online training, but it can be completed in much less time. The training class covers the basic tools and features of Etudes, with hands-on practice. In addition, there are frequent Courselets and offerings in the Cyber Teachers Institute, for those of you who have completed Etudes 101.
Go2Knowledge - Contains online and on-demand training. This training is free to Hartnell employees and is pre-approved for flex. You do not have to report anything because Go2Knowledge will provide monthly reports to the college about participants. Email email@example.com for log in information.
