Supporting Student Access Through One Streamlined Application

The Hartnell College Common Application is an internally developed solution led by Hartnell Information Technology Resources (ITR). It brings together multiple student support programs into one shared application, streamlining how students apply and how programs identify eligibility. ITR manages and supports the Common Application, including system enhancements, issue resolution, and data access.

 

Enhancement to the Common Application

We’re continuing to improve the Common Application based on user feedback. If you have an idea that would improve functionality, workflows, or the student experience, submit an enhancement request.

Enhancements are reviewed and implemented on a structured, twice-yearly cycle to ensure quality, coordination, and proper testing.

Cycle 1: September - January Submission Window

If something isn’t working as expected, please submit a ticket so we can investigate and resolve it.

  • Application errors or bugs
  • Data inconsistencies
  • Access issues

Authorized users may request access to Common Application data for reporting and student support purposes.

After a request is submitted:

  1. The request will be reviewed by ITR
  2. Required training will be coordinated
  3. Access will be granted upon completion of training and approval
