COVID 19 BannerThe Hartnell Community College District has closed all of its campuses to the public in compliance with state and county shelter-in-place orders. All instruction for the Spring 2020 semester has moved online or been postponed, beginning March 25 through at least April 7.

2020 Advisories Related to the COVID-19 pandemic:

Summer 2020 Courses: Prerequisite and corequisite courses will be offered online using preapproved course outlines.

PLEASE NOTE: Science courses with labs that must be taught online in Spring and Summer 2020 sessions will be accepted as prerequisites to the registered nursing, vocational nursing, and respiratory care practitioner programs.  These courses include BIO-5, BIO-6, BIO-6L, BIO-11, BIO-27 and their equivalent courses taught at other colleges.  Please reference the Course Equivalency Chart and contact the Nursing and Allied Health academic counselor, Dr. Elizabeth Estrella (lestrell@hartnell.edu) with questions.

Fall 2020:  Hartnell College plans to admit new cohorts of respiratory care practitioner, registered nursing, and emergency medical technician students as scheduled.  Our hybrid (distance learning and face-to-face) academic programs meet the regulations and standards of the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care,  Monterey County Emergency Medical Services, California Board of Registered Nursing,  California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing regulations and standards.  Modifications to clinical courses and coursework will be necessary should the COVID-19 health threat continue after August 2020.  Current and incoming students are advised to check updates on the NAH program webpages.
