The Hartnell College Student Affairs Council (SAC)  discusses contemporary issue, trends, and best practices related to the services and programs that contribute to student success and the quality of campus life. The Council provides advice on systemwide policies, initiatives, and strategic planning. Student Affairs Council members forge partnerships in support of student learning, development, and academic achievement. The Council addresses such areas as academic technology, admissions & enrollment management, services to students with disabilities, auxiliary organizations, budget, financial aid, health & counseling services.

 

The Student Affairs Council provides consultation to the Vice President of Student Services, Dr. Romero Jalomo and the College Planning Council providing input and best practices for the implementation of student affairs initiatives; therefore cultivating academic and personal success, encouraging and promoting the welfare of all students, and capitalizing on a diverse student population to develop students' leadership skills, collegiality, civic responsibility, and engaged citizenship.
