Hartnell will present Cash for College Day, a free financial aid workshop for the 2019-20 academic year, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 23 on its Main Campus in Salinas.
The workshop is open to the public, with help available in English and Spanish, regardless of what college a student plans to attend in the fall. It will be held in the Student Services Building (B), room B-110.
This event offers a drop-in opportunity for parents and students to complete online applications for the FAFSA or the CA Dream Act Application, whichever applies to their situation, as well as the Cal Grant.
The workshop setting will allow those who attend to work independently on provided computers but be able to receive expert assistance as needed from Hartnell financial aid staff. The timing is especially critical because March 2 is the deadline for the FAFSA and Dream Act applications in order to qualify for Cal Grant assistance.
