Former Palma High and Hartnell College hurdler Rhett Gonzalez has qualified for the NAIA Indoor track and field championships in the 60-meter hurdles.
A senior at Southern Oregon University, Gonzalez earned a spot after clocking 8.21 seconds at the Ed Jacoby Invitational in Idaho. He will go into the NAIA finals ranked No. 8 in the nation. The competition will be on Feb. 28 in Brookings, S.D.
