The Hartnell Football program has begun its preparation for the 2015 football season with the start of Spring Ball.  Over 60 student-athletes participated in its first day of practice, which will take place 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).  This is the time for both returners and newcomers to showcase their athletic abilities along with their mental capacties.  Each week both Offensive and Defensive coaches will be installing and implementing their on the field expectations and respective schemes of playing football the Panther way.  In other words, the basic packages within the Offense and Defense will be taught and the student-athletes will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of what they are learning.  Spring Ball is the time when the evaluation process heightens and coaches really get an idea of who can perform and who they can depend on outside what is being done in the weight room and speed training.  This is the time of the off-season when position specific technique is highly stressed and repetitive.  Best of wishes to the Hartnell football coaching staff and student-athletes this Spring as they resume practice today.
