Hartnell is once again offering Mental Health First-Aid certification training to employees and students, beginning with a one-day employee session from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 1 and a two-day option from 12-4 p.m. on March 14 and 8 a.m.-12 p.m. on March 15.

Open to staff, faculty and administrators, the training provides knowledge and understanding of mental health, how to identify signs and symptoms and campus resources. Certification requires eight hours of training and is valid for three years. The course is approved for eight hours of faculty flex credit. An eight-hour session for students is planned for March 26.
