The Center for Achievement and Student Advancement (Mi CASA) team traveled to Long Beach on Jan. 10-11 to attend the First CA Campus Catalyst Fund Grantee Convening. The team from Hartnell and representatives from 31 other California institutions that received the Catalyst Fund in August gathered to expand their knowledge on how to best serve and support undocumented students and their families.
Director Bronwyn Moreno, Program Assistant II-Catalyst Project Lead Miriam Vazquez-Gonzalez, Communication Specialist Adriana Gonzalez-Sebastian and Mi CASA Counselor Yuliana Vazquez were joined by Hartnell Catalyst Student Fellows Estefania Escalante and Dayana Maravillo.
Moreno was also a guest presenter, sharing Hartnell’s current practices for establishing and developing strong partnerships and collaborations within and outside of the college. The Mi CASA team is excited and looking forward to enhancing the services already in place as well as implementing new strategies to continue serving Hartnell Dreamers.
