2026–2027 Karl S. Pister Leadership Opportunity Award – UC Santa Cruz
The Karl S. Pister Leadership Opportunity Award recognizes outstanding community college students who have shown exceptional leadership, academic achievement, and a commitment to serving others — especially in the face of adversity.
Award Details:
- Up to $20,000 to attend UC Santa Cruz beginning Fall 2026
- Includes priority enrollment
- Open to California community college students transferring to UCSC
Application Process:
Students no longer need a separate scholarship application. Eligible candidates will be identified directly through the UC application for admission and scholarships.
Eligibility:
- Must be transferring from a California community college
- Must demonstrate strong leadership, service, and academic excellence
- California Dream Act students are eligible
- Students on non-immigrant visas (e.g., F-1) are not eligible
