Transfer to UC Santa Cruz with financial support and personalized guidance.
The NEXTGEN transfer scholarship supports outstanding Hartnell College students transferring
to UC Santa Cruz to pursue degrees in agriculture, agroecology, food justice, sustainable
food systems and related fields.

Who Can apply
- Hartnell College students applying to transfer to UC Santa Cruz
- Interested in agricultural food systems, sustainability or related fields
- U.S. citizen, U.S. national or permanent resident
- Meet screening requirements for an eligible UCSC major

This program provides Hartnell College students with paid opportunities to work alongside
faculty and researchers.
Student Support
- $6,600 summer scholarship
- $3,100 housing support (on or off campus)
- $175 Project supply allowance
- Travel funding for eligible conferences and research
