1,414 students get into honor roll lists

for their academic achievements in fall 2017

SALINAS, Calif. – The Hartnell Community College District is happy and proud to announce the name of the students who made it into the President’s Honor Roll and the Dean’s List for FALL 2017.  The College named 670 students to its Dean’s List and 744 students to the President’s Honor Roll for the FALL 2017 semester.

“The students in the Honor Roll have gone above and beyond the call of duty to set an example of what it means to have opportunity, engagement, and achievement, and use these to attain academic and professional success,” said Superintendent/President, Dr. Willard Lewallen.

In order to be in the President’s Honor Roll or the Dean’s List, students must meet certain criteria.  All 1,414 honor students were enrolled in at least 12 units for the semester. The GPA (4.0 max.) for each category had to be within the following ranges:

  • Dean’s List  students earned a grade point average between 3.0 and 3.49
  • President’s Honor Roll  students earned a grade point average between 3.5 and 4.0

“We are focused on providing a world class education for the students of the Salinas Valley so that they are prepared for 21st century jobs,” added Dr. Lewallen.  “I am so proud of all of our students who have grit and passion for making their communities better via higher education.”

These lists exemplify the commitment the students have towards their educational goals and the dedication bestowed upon them by faculty and staff who have student success as the number one priority. Congratulations to this exemplary group of Hartnell students!
