SALINAS, Calif. - This Saturday, November 15, 2014, Hartnell College presents its Second Annual Hartnell College Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Class of 2014 in the Student Center at 411 Central Avenue, Salinas, CA. Thirteen will be inducted and celebrated for their achievements and support of Hartnell College Athletics.

 

 “We will be recognizing those who have made the most of their experiences as student-athletes, teams, instructors, coaches, administrators, counselors, volunteers and supporters of Hartnell College,” expressed Dr. Willard Lewallen, Superintendent/President. 

The program is scheduled as follows:

  • 10:30 a.m. Campus tour led by Hartnell Superintendent/President, Dr. Willard Lewallen
  • 11:45 a.m. Hosted reception and Luncheon (Student Center)
  • 12:15 p.m. Induction Ceremony followed by unveiling of the Athletics Hall of Fame Wall
  • 6:00 p.m. Football Game and Half-Time Presentation (at Rabobank Stadium) Hartnell Panthers vs. West Hills Falcons

“The Athletics Hall of Fame was established to recognize the inductees for their dedication and accomplishments as well as to show our appreciation for their contributions and being a vital part of our rich history within the community," said Dan Teresa, Athletics Director. 

Hartnell College has a rich athletic tradition and a long history of success that spans over the past 80 years, producing over 9,000 student/athletes who have not only achieved success in athletics, but also in the classroom.
