Attesti and Galli present a wide variety of music for piano and organ including arrangements of arias from operas, the Fugue in G minor by J.S. Back for organ, the Ballade in G minor for piano by Frederic Chopin, and an arrangement of “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin. The concert also contains a five-minute improvisation by Matteo Galli on a theme given to him the night of the performance.

“Piano concerts are quite common, but is it rare to have a performance of classical music involving piano and organ,” commented Hartnell Superintendent/President, Dr. Willard Lewallen. “The combination of organ and piano creates a unique sound for the interpretation of classical music - their passion and musicianship are inspiring”

On Thursday, January 23, 2014, the public is invited to observe a “Master class” with Attesti and Galli at 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. in room K-125.
