Prospective Main Campus Facilities Improvement Projects

SALINAS, Calif. – On  Friday, October 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM  and concluding at  2:30 PM the Facilities Planning and Construction Management Department at Hartnell Community College District will hold an  Open Forum  in Bldg. C, Steinbeck Hall at 411 Central Avenue, Salinas, CA. The Forum will present information and concepts for four improvement projects to the public in general.

The first presentation will be by Superintendent/President, Dr. Willard Lewallen, who will describe the Center for Nursing and Health Sciences Building  and  Parking Secondary Effects . The next presentation will be by local architectural firm, In Studio Architects [ISA].    They will present project  Welcome/Safety Kiosk  identified to be placed at the campus turnaround off Central Avenue.

The third presentation will be Accessibility and landscape improvements for Buildings D and E on Main Campus  by Monterey based HGHB and BFS Landscape Architects presenting their conception of the improvements. The Classroom Administration Building, historically known as the CAB building and now identified as Buildings D and E, was built in 1977.

To close out the presentations, Starbucks Business Development Manager, Dan Laguna will present on the exploration of locating a Starbucks   Licensed Store  at Hartnell’s Student Center.  

At the conclusion of the Forum, attendees will receive a link to a survey in order to provide feedback/comments to the District on these projects.
