SALINAS, Calif. - On Saturday, November 15, 2014, Hartnell College and its Athletics Department present the Second Annual Hartnell College Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at 411 Central Avenue, Salinas, CA. This event will induct 13 honorees in a day filled with celebration, cheer, and a football game.

"We are proud of this new tradition at Hartnell College," said Dr. Willard Lewallen, Superintendent/President. "We will be recognizing those who have made the most of their experiences as student-athletes, teams, instructors, coaches, administrators, counselors, volunteers and supporters of Hartnell College and its Athletics Department. These select individuals have maximized their own potential and have made a positive impact in others."

The program is scheduled as follows:

- 10:30 a.m. Campus tour led by Hartnell Superintendent/President, Dr. Willard Lewallen

- 11:45 a.m. Hosted reception and Luncheon (Student Center)

- 12:15 p.m. Induction Ceremony

- 6:00 p.m. Football Game and Half-Time Presentation (at Rabobank Stadium) Hartnell Panthers vs. West Hills Falcons

"Hartnell has a long history and tradition of successful athletic programs," said Dan Teresa, Athletics Director. "The Athletics Hall of Fame was established to recognize the inductees for their dedication and accomplishments as well as to show our appreciation for their contributions and being a vital part of our rich history within the community."

Hartnell College has a rich athletic tradition and a long history of success that spans over the past 80 years. We have won over 75 Conference Championships, numerous Northern California Championships and State awards, the 1952 Junior Rose Bowl Championship, and a 1984 State Championship in Baseball. The Men's Soccer Team was State Champion in 2013, and ranked in the Top 10 in the nation. Hartnell has produced over 9,000 student/athletes who have not only achieved success in athletics, but also in the classroom.
