Hartnell College honors those who left a mark on the institution

A Walk of Honor to be dedicated

SALINAS, Calif.   –  Hartnell College is pleased to announce the dedication of the  Walk of Honor  at 411 Central Avenue in Salinas, CA. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., north of the Library and Learning Resource Center. This event is open to the community at large.

This site is dedicated to honoring former Hartnell College students, employees, and board members. It is designed as a place for remembrance and reflection.

There are many individuals who have passed through Hartnell College and have made a difference in the lives of others, and who have made significant contributions to the evolution of Hartnell over the years.

“Many individuals have left a lasting impression on Hartnell College through their work and activities. There are students and others who have lost their lives and have left us way before they had a chance to make their full mark on Hartnell and the world. It is important that we take time to honor and remember these individuals,” shared Superintendent/President, Dr. Willard Lewallen.

Pavers have already been installed at the  Walk of Honor ; family and friends have been invited to be a part of this dedication in recognition of their loved ones. “Please join our college community on  December 7 to give tribute to all of these individuals and their families,” said President of the Board of Trustees, Manuel Osorio.
