SALINAS, Calif. - On Wednesday, February 5, 2014, Hartnell College Football will take part in the  2014 NCAA Football National ‘Letter of Intent’ Signing Day  from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Hartnell College Gymnasium Lobby located at 411 Central Avenue, Salinas, CA.

The first Wednesday in February is the official day that student athletes can sign their letter of intent, a contract accepting a scholarship to those universities that have made them an offer. Junior colleges and High schools nationwide will be hosting 'signing day' events on their campus. At Hartnell College we have several students that will be signing scholarships including:

- DeAndre Mann - University of Kansas

- Kapil Fletcher - University of Kansas

- Anthony Smithson - University of Kansas

- Myles Coleman - Sacramento State University

- JaVaughn Mitchell - Southwestern Oklahoma State University

- Sheldon Wynn - Georgia State University

- Da'Quan Smith - Southeastern Louisiana University

Some of these student athletes have already left Hartnell and transferred to their new campus as they were part of an early signing period strictly for Junior College students. These young men will be honored as well when we gather for our signing day event.

This will be the first day these athletes get to sign their contracts, but the process lasts all spring.

We hope that you can join us to support these young men that chose Hartnell College as a place to prepare them both academically and athletically for this moment in their lives.
