 SALINAS, Calif. – Hartnell Community College District and the Transfer and Career Center are happy to host the 30th Annual Transfer Day/College Night (TDCN) on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in the Student Center at 411 Central Avenue, Salinas, CA. Transfer Day is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and College Night is 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Admission to both fairs is free and open the public.  Parking will also be free during the events to welcome our community.

The Student Center will be filled with over 50 universities presenting information on their programs and student support services; a list of participants is attached. In addition, something new this year:

  • A Transfer Student Workshop
  • Financial Aid (FAFSA) Workshops in English and Spanish
  • AB540/ Dream Act information session  

“Transfer Day/College Night brings a wonderful opportunity for our currently enrolled and prospective high school students to gain exposure to different University representatives from throughout the country,” said Dean of Student Affairs-Student Success, Dr. Mark Sanchez.  “Students learn about the academic programs and services available at a broad spectrum.”  

The TDCN Committee is excited to present this upcoming annual event which brings 4-year universities from the CSU, UC, private, and out-of-state systems to our campus. Students will have the opportunity to connect with university representatives during Transfer Day, while our local high school students will be able to meet with various representatives during the College Night fair.  Hartnell College faculty and staff are encouraged to wear their alma mater on this day.

Gonzales High School will bus-in their students for College Night.  The Monterey County Migrant Education Office will bus-in high school students from King City through North Monterey County High School.
