SALINAS, Calif. – Hartnell Community College District and its Transfer and Career Center present the Third Annual Veterans Appreciation Job Fair on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Steinbeck Hall 411 Central Avenue, Salinas, CA.  The Job Fair is open to the public in general.

More than 30 employers will be at hand offering open positions and internship opportunities to potential job seekers.  This is also the first year the Hartnell Transfer and Career Center presents the Student Volunteer Fair.

“Nowadays, most people search for jobs browsing online; attending a job fair can prove more advantageous for it provides a great opportunity to interested job-seekers to put into practice their "elevator pitch" and learn to customize it to impress their potential employer,” said Counselor and Transfer and Career Center Coordinator Mercedes Quintero.  “This allows job-seekers to build confidence and enhance their networking skills.”

Additionally, students and community members learn about the local job market needs and can better prepare to brush up on necessary skills that will advance them to the position they want.  In the process, some job seekers find that taking a course at Hartnell College can help them.

Hartnell College strives to support job seekers with their career goals-growth and hope they will find this event as valuable as others have in the past.  Some of the employers attending are:
