Requirements of the Promise
To be eligible for the Promise, you must meet the following requirements:
Graduate from a high school or adult school with a diploma or GED
Be a first-time college student (Hartnell dual/concurrent enrollment units accepted)
CA resident or qualify for non-resident tuition exemption
Maintain full-time enrollment of 12 or more units, unless approved for a reduced course
load accommodation by the Department of Supportive Programs and Services (DSPS)
Completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) OR California Dream Act Application (CADAA)
Completion of the Student Success Seminar and attend ONE workshop per semester
Maintain at least a 2.0 semester GPA
