NOTE: Students who are currently in the Salinas Valley Promise program DO NOT need to reapply.
Steps to Apply
Submit an application for admissions to Hartnell College through CCCApply
Submit the Salinas Valley Promise Program Application
A Hartnell Student ID # and account is required to sign-in and submit the form (see Step 1)
Submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or California Dream Act Application
- Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 applicants must complete a 2025-2026 FAFSA or CADAA application
Please indicate Hartnell College (School Code: 001209) on your application. Up to 7 schools can be added.
Enroll and continue as a full-time student at Hartnell College during Fall and Spring semesters deadlines (12 or more units each semester).
- Waitlisted courses do not count towards the 12 unit requirement
- It is highly recommended you participate in the Panther Prep Pledge
Students enrolled in fewer than 12 units may be eligible for SVP when eligible for a reduced course load as a Department of Supportive Programs and Services (DSPS) accommodation
NOTE: Hartnell Dual Enrollment students are exempt from this requirement
Choose one of the following options:
- Counseling course for Fall/Spring: COU-1, COU-21, or COU-23
- Summer or Winter Math Academy
- Join an approved Student Support Program: TRiO, Vocational Nursing Program (VN), Computer Science in 3 Years (CSin3), CCAP Dual Enrollment, AG Learning to Lead Program, Teacher Pathway Program (TPP), MESA Program, EOPS, Panther's Athletics
Students will be notified of their admission status via Hartnell student email. Admission to the Salinas Valley Promise program is contingent upon the completion of a Program Agreement Contract.
Please note that the Salinas Valley Promise program does not cover summer courses.
The application review process will begin once the application deadline has passed.
