Financial Aid Dates and Deadlines

Financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to students who complete their application by March 2nd of each year. The school will review your application and may request additional information if necessary to complete your file. You will receive an award letter once the College has received your Student Aid Report (SAR) from the federal government.

2025-2026 Verification Document Deadline Policy:

To retain priority within the award package, the verification process must be completed by the end of the 2026 Summer semester. Priority aid at Hartnell College includes the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) and the Federal Work-Study program.

To retain federal aid (Federal Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loans) as part of the award package, the verification process must be completed by whichever is sooner:

within 120 days of the student's last date of enrollment
by July 23, 2026, for new verification forms or
by July 31, 2026, for follow-up verification forms

Important Dates and Deadlines

To receive payment, students must verify their enrollment status with Admission. This can be done by visiting one of our campuses: the Main Campus, the Alisal Campus, the Soledad Center, or the King City Center.
